The Tiger Martial Arts curriculum has evolved over the years and was originally developed by Master Cho and other members of the Korean Tigers Demonstration Team. Tiger Martial Arts Center is a member of the United States Tae Kwon Do Union (U.S.T.U.) and the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) and as such uses traditions and regulations associated with both of those organizations in our training.
Rank promotion for each color belt level includes a variety of Martial Arts skills including:
- Poomse (forms)
- Basic Moves (blocks, punches, stances)
- Basic Kicks
- Self-defense
- One-Step Sparring
- Sparring Techniques
- Board Breaking
- Black Belt Philosophies and Life Skills
At Tiger Martial Arts Center students feel a sense of family. We all work together in a supportive and respectful atmosphere, yet we progress as individuals. Our classes are designed for all age levels (within the associated program) and all fitness levels.
Our belt system is as follows:
WHITE, YELLOW, ORANGE, PURPLE, GREEN, BLUE, BROWN, RED, DEPUTY, BLACK
The videos available below are those required at each of the belt levels. Tae Geuk 1-8 (Il Jang-Pahl Jang) are color belt forms. Koryo is required at 1st Dan, Kumgang at 2nd Dan, and Taebaek at 3rd Dan.
